That is a really very important meeting, next step in DeafSkills international movement and we had discussed about very revolution subjects. President of WorldSkills Simon Bartley, president of WFD Colin Allen - that a greatest experts in all the world. Hope we will make the world better together.

Today DeafSkills has a birthday - exactly 1 year old. One of the important goals of the DeafSkills Movement is the professional orientation of deaf children and helping them to choose their own way in life. In Moscow's college number 4 was a really great event - 112 deaf children were able to try 11 different professions. Most of of them will come to study to this college. That was a super anniversary of the DeafSkills International Association. 

It was with great sadness and disbelief that we found out, on Thursday 2 February 2017, that our friend and partner Bauke van der Meer had passed away following a fatal accident in Barcelona. Bauke was 47 years old.Bauke was the director and owner of BVDM Tax & Legal Services and C-Corp in Amsterdam and Moscow and co-founder of DeafSkills International Association. He was absolutely unique person and we will always miss him.We say farewell to an extremely remarkable personality and our thoughts are with his wife, their three children and the family.

It was the most important event of the year in the field of rehabilitation of disabled people - the Rehabilitation International Conference in Edinburgh 24-27 October 2016. The presentation of DeafSkills International Association successfully passed within the section "Education and employment". We are grateful to the organizers of the conference for the opportunity to communicate with specialists from all over the world.

DeafSkills team successfully presented the Сhampionships as an effective tool to draw attention to the problems of deaf people in the field of education and employment in 5th WFD Asia Conference 14-17 October 2016 in Singapore. We have found many colleagues who are ready to develop our international movement in Asia.

All-Russian Society of the Deaf on Friday hosted a reception for distinguished guests - the deaf part of the Russian national Abilympics team. VOG President Rukhledev presented thank-you letters and small gifts to all participants.
