Professionalism shapes people and society. Technicians, cooks, welders, programmers every day make the world better with their own hands.

DeafSkills movement unite champions, experts and sponsors in projects and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life, economic and professional development of the deaf in the world.

DeafSkills is not just a system of championships but a multi-stage work of the expert community to establish a system of early career guidance, new learning technologies, efficient system of employment of the deaf.

Movement will be developed in seven areas:

The WFD is committed to regional developments that bring about meaningful impact to the wider Deaf Community. As we discussed, I am happy to contribute ideas in the planning of the International Assotiation of DeafSkills. It would be in the WFD’s best interest that such event aim to empower deaf people so that they are able to create significant improvements to their DeafCommunity at the local, national and international levels through our members of the WFD.

Our Mission

DSIA is a non-profit international organization with purpose of conducting international championship DeafSkills that aim to:

 
Elevate commitment of the deaf to professional independence and improve their vocational skills.
 
To raise to a new level the public perception of professional opportunities of the Deaf and their participation in social and economic life.
 
To support the full integration of the deaf into society, paying particular attention to their professional development.
 
To promote international exchange and friendship among the participants.
 
To promote the involvement of the relevant authorities of the participating countries in the process of improving vocational skills and career of the Deaf.
